Greetings all who wrestle for the Kingdom,

We have had another first this month.  A person was healed in a dream while the person they were dreaming about was up and praying for them.  Wow.  Here is the story;

            Many of you know Jeremy Rush who is on the wrestling team and prays often for people for healing.  He was the person who prayed for the High School girl who had been cutting herself whose physical and emotional scars disappeared immediately after he prayed for her.  He had injured himself somehow and his rib cage and the muscles around it on one side were hurting.  He decided he would apply the Word and spoke to the pain and commanded that it leave in the name of Jesus and went to sleep.  He woke up around 3:00AM in severe pain.  This was a problem because his job is very physical and involves lifting granite and heavy objects.  He once again stated, "by the stripes of Jesus I am healed" and went back to sleep.  While sleeping he had a dream.  In the dream he was in a car with me (Ted) and we were talking about the pain in his side.  Something came up in his mind that he needed to repent of and I walked him through a prayer of repentance and then prayed for healing.  He was instantly healed  ...  in the dream.  When he woke up in the morning the pain was gone and he went to work without any problems.  The other part of the story is that at 2:40AM God woke me up and I began praying.  I did not have any idea who was in need but I continued praying and worshiping and reading through the rest of the night.  So, God gave Rush a dream and in the dream he was healed which translated into actual healing by the time he woke up and the person in the dream who led him through the prayer for healing was awakened and was praying during the entire time.  Again I say, wow.

How many times has an intercessor been called to pray, obeyed that prompting and never heard back what was affected by that prayer?  Thank you Father for graciously showing us a small window into Your glory and the honor of participating with You as You care for us.

We all need affirmation and encouragement from time to time and that is what the stories we hear every week do for me.  I trust they bless your heart too, that is why we keep posting them.  It would be good to hear back from some of you regarding the format and content of the Update.  Too much?  Too little?  Fire me a note if you have an idea or comment.

A few examples of our God at work  .......

REPORTS:

* A young man came for prayer six weeks ago because his wife was about to leave him and he was struggling with depression.  The depression had been a part of his life for years and he was tired and afraid of what it was doing to his life and marriage.  He came to the "W" last week to let us know that from the point we prayed the depression had disappeared and his wife and he were trying to work things out.  Thank you Father for healing a heart and giving hope in a relationship.

* A woman with pain in here ankle and foot (who is near the end of her 12th pregnancy) came for prayer.  After the circle had prayed for her she stood up and could walk without a limp and was pain free.  She came back the next week and was still free from any pain.  God you are gracious and hear us when we pray.

* An intercessor had gone over to pray with a young man who was addicted to drugs and filled with depression and schizophrenia.  The young mans mother reported last week that he has gone thirty days without any drugs and has been stable emotionally.  Thank you God for prompting your servant to go and thank you for healing once again.

* We heard from a woman who had been prayed for regarding tumors.  She went back to the doctor and the tumors had all disappeared.  Thank you Father.  You care for us well.

* We had prayed for a young man who desired to enter the military as a Chaplin.  He came by two weeks ago to say thanks; he was on his way to basic training to begin his career as a Military Chaplin.  God, you open doors to glorify Your Son.  Thank you for providing this mans heart desire and thank you for allowing us to participate in the process.

* We heard back from a woman with a cancer plus Emphysema that she is now almost completely healed of the Emphysema and the tumor had reduced to half its previous size with the most recent CAT scan.  Thank you Father, you are gracious and good.

* We prayed for a woman with Fourth Stage MS a little over four years ago and she came to the "W" a few weeks back to give us an update.  The night we prayed for her we called forth a creative miracle and her nerve sheaths were instantly restored.  Every symptom of MS disappeared and she was so thoroughly healed that she has not even been to the Neurologist in two years.  Thank you God for you are awesome indeed.

* A woman was prayed for by an intercessor from Mars Hill in the Atlanta airport last year.  She was at a dinner with another person from Mars last month and gave the testimony that she was healed on the spot and the ailment never returned.  Thank you Father for using discussions on planes to open the door to ministry and then for glorifying the name of Jesus with the result.

*  A young woman came for prayer regarding fear that was near debilitating.  We heard back that she has begun to sleep peacefully and no longer battles fear.  Yes!

*  A man who had a lung transplant is doing extremely well.  Thank you Father for once again using doctors to minister health to one of Your children.

Once again we see the stark physical evidence of Romans 8:11 at work; "... He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you."  It is not about some formula or magic trick or religious process path that we see these things happen.  It is by the power of the Holy Spirit and the authority of the name of Jesus.  Period.

As you read and are encouraged by these great stories of God at work please also remember that these were in response to many different intercessors praying.  Mark 16 at the end of the chapter says, "these signs will follow those who believe  ...  they will lay hands upon the sick and they will recover."  Do you believe in Jesus?  Then Mark was talking about you.  Are you currently seeing people healed as a result of your prayers?  If not do not doubt the Word or its truth.  We do not own the result but we do own whether or not we believe.  Doubt your doubts and keep pushing into God.  Keep seeking, keep knocking, keep asking.  Trust God that His word is true and pray believing that the sick will recover as a result of your prayers.  That is the truth.

Here are some additional things to be aware of as WT members;

OPPORTUNITIES:

·         Be praying about the 24/1 concept and what part, if any, you might play in that.  One person has begun praying at 7AM and I heard that last week an intercessor was called into the Shed Sunday afternoon to pray.  What is God saying to your heart?

·         We have had some people drop off the Wrestling Team in the past couple of months for various reasons and we need help in a few time slots.  Please take a moment and think about who you know that would possibly be interested in our little band and then please contact them to see if they would like to explore joining.

·         The "Eyes Wide Open" teaching Sat. October 7th about missions might be an excellent opportunity to expand your understanding of missions and see better how to intercede for people on the field.

·         I am including a couple of the prayers that we use in ministering to people along with the Update.  These are only examples and guides not absolutes.  It is always best to pay attention to the direction of the Holy Spirit but you may want to use these as a starting point.  We have found them to be effective.

·         We do not have anyone scheduled for the "5th Sunday" 9AM slot.  Volunteers anyone?

·         Please pray for Ted as he continues to speak: Oct 1 and 8 at Victory Point CRC in Zeeland and @ Gun Lake Community Reformed Church for a PrayerFire Conference Sat. Nov. 18th.

You are appreciated and prayed for often.

Shalom in the name of Jesus,

Ted and Claudia Kallman, Wrestling Coaches

"We have emphasized the liberation from sin and death, but neglected to declare the intimate fellowship awaiting all who've been made free.  This neglect is costly and even disastrous, as so many miss the beauty of knowing God intimately."  "He's waiting to satisfy us, yet His goodness will not satisfy us if we are already full of other things.  Lets keep our hearts hungry and not take lightly His call to us.  For when we draw near He has promised to draw near to us!"  John Brevere from his book Drawing Near
