Greetings all who wrestle for the Kingdom, Done A few months ago I handed everyone at the “W” a piece of paper and then asked them to pray and ask God to give them the paper that they were holding in their hand. After a few moments of confusion the lights started to go on and they realized ‘you cannot ask God to give you something that you already have’. The teaching that night was in relationship to the authority that we have as believers in Jesus; we do not have to ask God for things that He already gave us. Healing the sick, for example. This month I would encourage you to spend some time reflecting on a similar thought; “If Jesus, by His death and resurrection, redeemed us from the curse and we are no longer bound to it then how should we live in that freedom?” We believe that healing occurred when Jesus died and rose again. There is no more work to do. That the same power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us if we have turned our lives over to Him. If that is true then we do not have to ask Jesus to die again, or ask the Father to give us what was completed because it is already ours. That is an amazing truth and yet very few Christians live in that place of understanding. We have been trained, and actually feel, it is presumptuous to ‘speak to the mountain’. We have been trained to ask and wait and hope. We put up with whatever comes our way because we have been trained to accept the facts as truth and to pray and ask but not speak to the mountain. Wow. How far we have drifted from God’s plan for us and His Kingdom. How powerless we have become. Father’s Day weekend an intercessor, who attends the “W” on a regular basis, was camping with his kids. A fierce storm came through and was battering the pop-up camper they were in. It was so intense that the kids were under the table and the intercessor was holding the sides of the camper trying to keep it from blowing apart. After about fifteen minutes of battle with his arms tired and his kids frantic he heard a thought in his head “how long are you going to put up with this?” Immediately he said “In the name of Jesus peace be still!” The wind stopped and from that point forward it only rained. The storm stopped. A coincidence of timing or operating in the authority of the same power that raised Jesus from the dead? I believe it was the latter and thank God He is showing us more of who we are in Christ. It is time we rose into the fullness of who we are in Jesus. Thank God with us for these reports seen by people who ‘spoke to the mountain’ over the past month … REPORTS: • A woman was frustrated and thinking about applying for another job so she put the request in the “box” @ the “W”. the next day she started getting offers for jobs within her organization ‘out of the blue’. Thank You Father that You hear us and answer us before we call. • A person was having night terrors and their friend put the request in the “box”. When they met up the next week she found out the the terrors had stopped that very night. God, You are amazing. • A woman’s 27 year old daughter was having rages and was picking her arms so badly that they were a bloody mess. After prayer @ the “W” the rages stopped and the arms healed. Lord, thank You. Now heal her heart and bring full peace we pray. • A young lady was diagnosed with Cancer and was going in the next day for a biopsy. A small group of intercessors prayed for her and when the tests were run the next day they could not find any cCancer cells and the Tumor has shrunk to near nothing. Father, Your name is healing and we thank You. • A man lost his job last November and came to the “W” for prayer. He did not get a job right away but God showed him issues in his heart that had to be dealt with foremost being that his identity was not to come from his job but from his relationship with God. Last week he got a new job. Adonai Jireh we thank You for Your wisdom and Your provision. • A woman who has not spoken with her Father more than once or twice in the past 30 years began praying for him and asking God to bring healing to his heart. Last month he began calling her every week and having normal, healthy Father/daughter conversations. We bless you Healing Lord. • A woman who attends the “W” on a regular basis was praying that her son (who was suddenly planning on getting married) would have God involved in the marriage. He was blocked from getting the license in the way he wanted and agreed to meet with a Pastor for counseling and that Pastor is now conducting the wedding. Father, You provide for us well. • An young woman was having back pain and watching TV. The 700 Club came on and as she was watching one of the hosts said “someone with back pain is being healed right now”. She said in her heart ‘that is me’ and the pain left. Thank You Father that how You bring healing is varied and unpredictable. • A young man wanted to go to a concert but could not drive himself and did not have the money for a ticket. His mother suggested that he pray. He did and found a set of four tickets on Craigslist (more than they needed). He then found other people to buy the other tickets and drive to the concert at no cost to himself. God, You have to take delight in answering these prayers. Thank You.. • A woman with Allergies put a request in the “box” regarding them (among other requests). She did not think about it until the weekend when she realized that all of the symptoms had stopped by the next day and she had symptom free for three weeks now at the peak of her worst season. Yes! • A woman was driving to Lansing and a deer ran into her car. The speed with which she got help, the fact that no one was hurt and the way her financial needs were met caused her to bless God for His provision. Indeed and indeed. • A woman was on a missions trip to Guatemala and hurricane force storms were coming through the region washing out roads and destroying homes. They prayed and got rain but no storms at that level. God, You grant us authority and we thank You. • A woman was in line at McDonalds and heard “pay for the woman behind you”. She did not want to since she was almost out of money and did not know the amount and it might over draw her account. She heard again “pay for the woman behind you” so she did. When she pulled forward to get herself set up to eat in her car she saw the woman and clerk talking and pointing and very happy and excited. She said the joy that rose up in her was powerful and overwhelming and lasted all day. Lord, You bless us when we obey. • A man came to the “W” and in the prayer circle one of the intercessors said “We are not going to pray for this situation again. You have the authority and need to speak peace to the job situation.” It startled the man but as he reflected on it he realized that it was true. The next day he began speaking Shalom to his workplace and the workers and his boss and peace has come over the situation and he has found new favor at work because of how he is now praying. Father, we need You to show us who we are in Jesus. • A woman was unemployed and had been to the “W” twice. The second time there she asked for prayer to get a job. Within a half-hour (that same night) she got a call and was employed. Wow. • The man we began praying for last summer who was in a Chronic vegetative state with no hope of recovery was sent home from Rehab last week. We bless You Miracle working Lord. • A story came in regarding a young man we were praying for who was far from God. Out of the blue he agreed to go to church with his family and when they got home he told his Mom ‘I really liked it”. Father, You shocked a Mom and blessed a boy all at the same time. • An intercessor that is a part of the WT went to a concert and was front and center. Things started to get rough and God told her she was at risk due to her fear. She repented of fear and began to call for peace and protection. A group of bikers surrounded her and within minutes all was calm. God, You work in mysterious ways Your wonders to perform. • An 80 year-old woman who is part of a church that does not believe in healing was prayed for and no longer has Cancer. The Church is now riled up but cannot deny that she was healed. Gracious Lord, help us all to grow more in our understanding and lose more of our religious pride. • A woman has been praying for her daughter who was far from God and last month the daughter began attending a local church and liked it. Last week she went with her husband and they stayed for the pot luck and connected in strong ways with a number of people in the church. Blessings upon blessings. • A member of the WT prayed for a man at work who was healed. That night as he told his family about it one of his children said “Dad, that guy has powers just like the people in the Bible!” Father, we do indeed have powers like the people in the Bible because You gave them to us. Help us remember that they are not ours but Yours and that the result is from You as well. Here are some additional things to be aware of as WT members;
